Chris Woodward
" I currently live in a town called Leatherhead in Surrey and I’m 18 years old. At this moment in time I am not employed and I am at college studying photography for almost 3 years. In my spare time I’m a trainspotter so I go out and spot trains (writing numbers and taking photos/videos). I also have a huge passion for music and I enjoy hanging out with friends and family.
Landscapes, Wildlife, Documentary and Travel are my favourite genres of photography and the work I produce is of the trains I see when trainspotting, including still images of the train itself, interiors and in the evenings I create long exposures of the trains, creating travelling light. I feel like this work shows who I am the best as it’s my main hobby. Clapham Junction is my favourite place to get long exposures from because the platforms are long so you can get up close to the trains and you have London’s tallest building in the background; The Shard.
Although I enjoy taking these sort of photos in my spare time, I don’t see myself developing my photography into a career after college and in the future."
